420 Number Nine Road, Cutler, Maine, 04626
Not far out of Downeast Maine's Beautiful Cutler Harbor this well-loved 1900’s New England Farm house went through a total restoration in 1984. This small family farm offers something for everyone, this is the ideal home for a large busy family with its open kitchen, dining and living room areas. The kitchen also has a large walk in pantry and more storage close at hand in the back porch/laundry area that also makes for easy access to the basement, back yard (garden), attached wood shed and the attached one car garage and craft or workshop area. In the front of the house is a really nice glassed in front porch entry that overlooks Schooner Brook on the other side of the road. The first floor is warmed comfortably by a nice wood stove in between the dining and living areas, that does supply most of the heat for the home. First floor also has a large full bath and a den/library area.
The 2nd floor has two sets of stairs going up and a total of 6 bedrooms most with hardwood floors, and a ¾ bath. Home does heat mostly with wood, but does have a FHA oil furnace also, the owner installed an automatic chimney cleaning brush to make life easier on the homeowner, along with hardwired smoke/carbon monoxide detectors!
Outside, the grounds are beautiful! Nice lawns, garden spots, apple trees, rhubarb, blueberries, and storage! Besides the large attached one-car garage, there is an oversized 2-car garage that also has heat, a garden shed (chicken house?), and another woodshed at the top of the hill would also make a great run in for horses or cattle.
Cutler is known for its breathtaking views, Cutler Harbor, LIttle River Lighthouse, and the crashing waves all along the Bold Coast. This property is surrounded by the famous hiking trails, ATV trails and offers easy access to many of the area features.
